Well, here we are again folks. Another elimination game, but this time in a Game 7 and this time, for BOTH teams. It is all on the line tonight, which means that everything will have to be brought to the table. There will be no more excuses and no more chances after tonight as one team WILL be going home. So let’s hope that the Devils can build off the momentum from Tuesday’s thrilling overtime victory in Game 6.

On Tuesday I called out Ilya Kovalchuk and Zach Parise and both responded Tuesday night, so we can only hope that this continues into tonight. Add in Travis Zajac’s game winning goal and it’s nice to see our first line finally producing at a nice pace. Now, Patrik Elias…it’s your turn! I don’t know about the rest of you, but the line of Elias, Sykora and Zubrus has been getting beat and they just look tired. I’m expecting big things from them tonight. Zubrus has been winning the puck battles, but he’s sure to be bruised up. These three need to come out and just dominate while they’re on the ice.

Steve Bernier has been quietly sitting in the background, grinding it out, winning puck battles and most importantly racking up points during this first round. Aside from our top line, he’s been one of the key contributors to the Devils offense. The entire fourth line of Bernier, Gionta and Carter (known collectively as the CBGB line – Carter, Bernier, Gionta’s Brother) has provided a great spark during the playoffs so far and will need to keep up this type of play for tonight.

Finally, not that I want to bring this up again, but this could potentially be the last time we see Martin Brodeur and Zach Parise in a Devils uniform. Like I said Tuesday, I’m not ready for that and I’m sure nobody in the Devils Army is either. Let’s do this Devils…we forced a Game 7 and it’s do or die! I haven’t stopped believing and neither should you!
